Photo Contest

From "Reusable Bags", details HERE

Help us raise awareness

Over the years we have all seen thousands of plastic bags littering our sidewalks, streets, trees, waterways and countryside. It's a powerful reminder of how prevalent plastic, (and paper) bag litter has gotten - look around, they're everywhere!

Now it's your chance to help show the world how plastic bags have gotten out of control with our "Plastic Bags Blow" Photo Contest. We're looking for the eerie, the "beautiful", the ugly - how they affect nature, animals, beaches...

Check out our GALLERY for inspiration - it presents a handful of the hundreds we have photographed.

Together we can continue to raise awareness.

I have one of their "Plastic Bags Blow" t-shirts... it's a real conversation starter!!

My local grocery store recently gave away cloth bags with every vegetable purchase. They are large and stand up on their own and the clerks will still bag the groceries. They even give 8 cents off the bill for each bag used. How could anyone not take advantage of this?

I know... I can't figure it out either...
I always freak clerks out when I tell them to just put my groceries back in the cart with no bags..lol We take it to the truck and put it in Rubbermaid totes, and just carry it into the house that way... lol

I also always tell them that the petroleum in 14 plastic bags is enough to fuel an automobile for one mile... doesn't that just amaze you!? Think of all the plastic bags in the world...!!

I've got my big red Dillon's bags. I use them at all the stores, they stay in the trunk. I haven't seen any plastic bags blowing around lately, I'll have keep my eye peeled.

They're everywhere around here, which is pathetic considering we're rebuilding as a "green" town!!
