Another post for the Brocante home Puttery Treats Challenge at Brocante Home!
*Get up very, very early. Just you. Creep downstairs, light candles and drink coffee in the dark, melancholy silence of an early Winter morning.
I did this just this morning. Of course, in my FEMA trailer, I couldn't creep downstairs... But I was up first, as usual, and I got my first cup of coffee, and wrapped up in my quilt in my chair, and thought about my day... lighting all the candles in the livingroom made it seem warmer... the smells mingling were very comfy...
My later mornings belong to Isaiah and homeschooling, dishes and laundry, making beds and scrubbing the tub...
My afternoons and early evenings belong to my job, stocking shelves and greeting customers with a smile and a cheery hello, even when I don't feel like it...
My later evenings belong to the family, cooking, doing dishes in suds up to my elbows, "How was your day, dear?" sorts of conversations... getting things ready for the next day... bedtime stories...
I fall into bed exhausted, and I sleep like the dead...
but early in the mornings...
This is the time for me... I let my mind wander through the dreams I don't dare let out during the daylight hours... I sometimes read my favorite old books at this time, letting them set the tone for my day... I mentally go through my "gratitude" list... So many things to be thankful for... I recall old times, and happy memories... I enjoy the silence...

Blessings to you today~
Thank you!
I started reading Allison because I saw her on your sidebar. I love the way she writes and the wonderful things she writes about. I'll need to try this one. Your morning sounds just lovely.
Allison is my BIGGEST online addiction... I LOVE LOVE LOVE her!! Her writing is so wonderful, and so are the things on her site...
I have bid on numerous things from eBay after seeing them on her sight! (I'm in a war currently for the little pink stove!!)
